Community Connection

The Network will recognize our Community Connection partners each month. Donations to each organization can be brought to luncheons or the organization may be contacted directly.

Someone representing the highlighted non-profit will be present for each meeting to answer questions and receive donations.

The Center for Grief & Loss at Hinds Hospice

The Center for Grief and Loss has a variety of programs to support those in our community grieving the loss of a loved one. They offer counseling to individuals and families, support groups and workshops.

The program extends to community education and to businesses, when an employee or an employee’s loved one has died. One widely known service of Hinds Hospice is the Angel Babies program. The news of an unborn baby being diagnosed with a life limiting condition is heartbreaking. Angel Babies offers a prenatal hospice program designed for families who have received this diagnosis, offering support and comfort during pregnancy and providing ideas for creating loving memories.

Needs: New teddy bears, for mothers to have something soft to hold on to. Journals and raffle items for our upcoming Angel Babies run/walk.
