This month join us for a holiday treat you certainly won’t want to miss - the Fresno Women’s Network is proud to announce the Buchanan High School Choral Choir will be performing at this year’s Holiday Luncheon. As in previous years, our December event will be held at Roger Rocka's on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 11 am to 1 pm, and will include exciting raffle opportunities in addition to the entertainment. This is a perfect way to share the spirit of the holidays with office staff, friends and colleagues. Register early - this luncheon is sure to sell-out.
The Buchanan High School Choral music program was founded when the school opened in the fall of 1991. Roger Bergman, the choir’s founder and current director, oversees a program that has grown from a handful of students to six choirs involving almost two hundred students as well as an advance placement music theory class and beginning piano class. The Choral Choir is the most advanced group in the program and the most demanding.
The choirs at Buchanan have performed at many events including festivals in Orlando, FL, Washington D.C., and New York City. The Concert Choir has performed at the California Music Educators Association Convention in Sacramento and the Chamber Singers at similar events. Buchanan choirs have consistently received superior ratings at choral festivals and they continue to perform in concerts and events for the local community as well as throughout the state.
